DIVERSIFICATION IN LASIA SPINOSA (LOUR.) THWAITES TWO MORPHOTYPES EXISTING WITHIN ASSAM BASED ON MORPHO METRIC AND ISSR MARKER ANALYSIS

چکیده

Lasia spinosa or Unicorn plant is an important tropical spinous rhizomatous herb. This one of the native species Assam used as vegetable and in Ayurvedic medicines. There are two distinct morphological types spinosa: Morphotype-I i.e.having dissected laminal hastate form Morphotype- II i.e. form. The current study revealed that physical anatomical parameters assent with genetic diversity through molecular data analysis. vein type, however, was discovered to be jumbled craspedodromous semi-craspedodromous morphotypes (I, II), respectively. Least variance forms observing leaf architecture. small changes petioles' roots' internal architecture between morphotypes. To do a phylogenetic analysis spinosa, ISSR-PCR product approximately 56% polymorphisms (i.e32 out 57 bands which each other).

Evaluation of genetic relationship between 15 bamboo species of North-East India based on ISSR marker analysis

The classification of bamboos based on floral morphology and reproductive characters is very hard due to erratic flowering behavior and unusually long reproductive cycle. The application of reliable and effective DNA molecular markers is highly essential to address this problem. In the present investigation, inter-simple sequence repeats (ISSR) markers were employed to study phylogenetic relati...

Genetic diversity of the endangered argan tree (Argania spinosa L.) (sapotaceae) revealed by ISSR analysis

Genetic variation in 150 trees of A. spinosa was estimated using inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR). The plant material used in this study were originated from five provenances belonging to the principal provinces of argan ecosystem in southwest of Morocco. Based on the nine ISSR primers, 86 loci were scored. At the population level, percentage of polymorphic bands (PPB) was ranged from 75.58 ...
